Imagine a world where people are comfortable discussing their immortality, no matter their age. Imagine a world where people plan for their death with intentionality and purpose, where all of us recognize we are “terminal” and approach life and death with equal reverence and respect.
As an End-of-Life Doula, I am experienced in helping folks consider and plan for their “ending.” Whether it’s a Death Cafe, a book study, a three-week faith formation series, or workshop on Advance Care Planning, I will offer you tips and suggestions for creating safe spaces to talk about and understand all things End-of-Life. This workshop will not focus on medical interventions but will inspire you to help your congregation with practical preparation and thoughtful conversations. Living fully must embrace the inevitability of dying. It need not be another “elephant in the room” or something to be feared or superstitious about. I will include a PowerPoint, handouts, book lists, and resources.
